Anderson Dean Community Park
Old Fort Harrod State Park
Old Fort Harrod features a full play gound in the back of the park, plus a unique opportunity for kids to climb and play on the Osage Orange tree by park’s front entrance.
Historic Young's Park
Located next to Mercer County Fairgrounds, Young’s Park features a covered area with tables, wooden play structure and plenty of grassy area. It also has a few unique history points.

Preserve at Shaker Village
The Preserve conserves and shares native trails including hill and diverse wildlife. Go on a new adventure every day as you trek through 3,000 acres of streams, forests and wide open spaces.
Anderson Dean Community Park
Anderson County Park Trail is a 1.2 mile heavily trafficked paved loop trail. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for walking, trail running and birding. Leashed dogs allowed.
Big Springs Park & Trail
James Harrod and a band of almost 40 men founded the first permanent settlement in Kentucky on this site on June 16, 1774. The spring was restored as a park and walking trail in 2017.

The Stable at Shaker Village
Explore 3,000 acres of discovery by horseback! Saddle your favorite steed for a backcountry ride through Kentucky forests, fields and creek crossings. Please note horses are not provied.
Eagles Nest Equestrian Trails in Harrodsburg provides opportunities for great trail riding. With a 30 mile trail system, there is plenty to see while on your ride. Please not horses are not provided.
Big Red Stables Bunk House
Big Red Stables is located on a third generation, family-owned farm in the heart of the Bluegrass. For more than 30 years, we welcome horse enthusiasts and beginners to experience trail riding.

Located in the “Stable” at the Mercer County Fairgrounds. We offer fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, honey, meat, herbs, jams, jellies, bedding plants, ornamental plants, eggs, baked goods, plant arrangements, canned goods and much more. Shop for farm fresh produce and more.
Terrapin Hill Farm & Events
Visitors are welcome to the farm for any of our events, your own private event, or even just to spend the night. We believe when people get out to enjoy the natural beauty of the land and see where their food comes from, they can begin to discover their own connection to the land.
